Celebrity owned Mezcal Brands

There’s been a recent debate around Kendall Jenner’s Tequila brand, 818 Tequila, and the internet has gone bonkers calling this entrepreneurial move “Cultural Appropriation.”

But why not Dwayne Johnson’s Teremana Small Batch Tequila? Or does anyone remember George Clooney’s Casamigos Tequila? Guess what, there are a number of celebrities who have created or invested in their own tequila brand, and you guessed it, they are not Mexican, Adam Levine, Nick Jonas, E 40, and ACDC just to name a few. In fact, it’s nothing new for celebrities to align themselves and create their own spirit brands.

So, with the growing popularity of Mezcal, and its projected growth to reach US$ 1,136. 55 million by 2027 it’s no wonder the celebrities are jumping on the bandwagon. The important thing for me is, is it a good mezcal?
