Ojo De Tigre is the brain child of Mexican actor Luis Gerardo Méndez and Juan Valderram, National ambassador for Mezcal Ojo de Tigre. This mezcal artesanal has been marketed as “El Mezcal Para todos, todas, todes”. The Mezcal for all. It is a very popular Mezcal in mezcal, because of its ties to the Mexican actor, and not to mention they have one of the best video ads on Youtube… the kind you don’t hit the “skip” button.
It comes in two varieties, Joven & Reposado. Both are an ensemble of two agaves, Espadín of Oaxaca and Tobalá of Puebla. It is 37% abv, on the lower side of most mezcal. But, this makes it lighter and easier to consume, which is one reason why Ojo De Tigre is a great mezcal for first-timers looking to get their tastebuds acquired to the taste of Mezcal.
