You might already know the famous Paloma cocktail, traditionally prepared by mixing tequila, lime juice, and a grapefruit-flavored soda. Served on the rocks, garnished with a lime wedge, and salting the rim of the glass.
Palomas are Better with Mezcal
We’ve decided to take the common Paloma up several notches. By adding a few more FRESH ingredients and your choice of mezcal, you will easily have the best Paloma Cocktail recipe, hands down.

Ingredients:
- 2oz. of your choice of Mezcal (I used Mano Santa Mezcal, Joven Expadín)
- 1oz. of fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1oz. of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
- 1/4oz. of fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1/3oz. of Agave Syrup
- Sal de Chapulín (Gran Mitla)
- Choice of Grapefruit soda
Instructions:
Take your favorite cocktail glass and fill it with cubed or crushed ice (salt the rim, optional). Mix the ingredients into the glass, stir, and top-off with grapefruit soda. Cover an orange slice with Sal de Chapulín and garnish the glass. Enjoy, it’s that easy!
